04/02/08  - The COFIPARC subsidiary of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance* Line, obtained ISO 9001 certification.

The Cofiparc car rental company (part of the Automobile Market Department) stands out for its prescription approach, via manufacturer dealerships, branches and subsidiaries, of the long term rental needs of companies.  

The car and consumer credit division of BNP Paribas Personal Finance received initial ISO 9001 certification via its distribution network prescription in July 2005 and successfully passed its second follow-up audit in December 2007.

The 370 employees in the automobile business line, are united under the Automobile Market Department, and they finance, via prescribers, professional and leisure car credit with traditional loans or in the form of leasing contracts. The long term rental of car fleets for small and medium businesses and industries is insured by Cofiparc, a subsidiary of Cetelem Automobile and of ARVAL, part of the Automobile Market Department since March 2006.

Cetelem Automobile is the leading credit institution, independent of manufacturers, on the automobile prescription market with 15% of the market’s shares.

The challenge of the second audit was twofold:

- to confirm the maturity of the Quality Management  of the Cetelem Car and Leisure Credit, the commercial brands of the PFF Automobile Market Department, within the context of a complete reorganization of its front and back office structures, set up in September 2007;

- to certify the Cofiparc unit.

The evaluations and conclusions, reported by the AFAQ auditor on January 18 were positive for the units managed by AMD and showed constantly improving dynamics of our results.   Cofiparc is thus certified 1SO 9001 and has become a part of the AMD certification, which confirms the maturity of its Quality Management System.

AFAQ/AFNOR accepted to deliver a specific certificate for Cofiparc in order to distinguish communications from Cetelem Automobile and to facilitate negotiations with car manufacturers that must be made prior to setting up LT market rentals.   Cetelem Automobile and Cofiparc both have a quality manual in their corporate colors, with the specifications of their trades, which is destined for employees and customers.
